West Lothian police launch probe into 'deliberate' blaze at Armadale home

Officers believe the blaze in the Lower Bathville area of Armadale on the afternoon of Sunday, May 30 was sparked intentionally.

Fire crews and emergency responders rushed to an address on the residential street shortly after 2pm to tackle the fire at a property.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) teams beat back the flames, with no injuries reported as a result of the terrifying incident.

But officers carrying out initial investigations over the origins of the fire now believe it was started deliberately and have implored neighbours with any information to come forward.
