Government departments continued to face serious problems implementing resource accounting and budgeting last year, according to a report from the National Audit Office (NAO). Only 15 per cent of the 52 departmental resource accounts were submitted by the 30 September 2001 cut-off and 36 per cent missed the final audit deadline of 30 November.
