Young adults feel climate measures can wait -but demand urgent changes on food production; Research of more than 2,000 UK adults conducted by Upfield, reveals 51% of 18-34-year-olds think measures can be postponed until 2025.

More than half of young people believe climate control measures can wait for some years despite claims they are behind much of the global movement for change.

Research of more than 2,000 UK adults conducted by Upfield, producer of plant-based margarine, cheeses, creams and spreads, reveals 51% of 18-34-year-olds think measures can be postponed until 2025.

Surprisingly, more than half of those polled aged 55 or above feel there's a greater urgency to tackle climate change now.

Despite not thinking change is needed now, 71% of young adults are willing spend more on food choices if it has a lower impact on the environment. Some 49% of those polled, want brand to commit to being more sustainable, and 47% agree that not enough is being done by producers to become more eco-friendly.
