The Agricultural Land Commissions Dissolution Order 1963

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 18 of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1963(a), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Land Commissions Dissolution Order 1963.

(2) The Interpretation Act 1889(b) shall apply to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st January 1964.

Transfer of property and dissolution of Commissions

2.—(1) All property, rights, obligations and liabilities of the Agricultural Land Commission are hereby transferred to the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

(2) The Agricultural Land Commission and the Welsh Agricultural Land Sub-Commission are hereby dissolved.

In witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 12th July 1963.
