The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by the Civil Aviation Act 1949(a), and the Civil Aviation Act 1949 (Overseas Territories) Order 1969(b), and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

Citation and Commencement

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) (Amendment) Order 1976 and shall be construed as one with the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 1976(c).

(2) This Order shall come into operation on 25th November 1976.

Amendment of section 84 of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 1976

2. Section 84 of the Air Navigation (Overseas Territories) Order 1976 is amended as follows:

(a) in subsection (4), for the amounts of £100 and £200 there shall be substituted the amounts of £50 and £100 respectively ;

(b) in subsection (5), for the amount of £200, and for the amount of £500 wherever that amount appears, there shall be substituted the amount of £100 and the amount of £200 respectively ;

(c) in subsection (6), the words from " to a fine " to the end of the subsection shall be deleted and the following shall be substituted—" to a fine not exceeding £200 and on conviction on indictment to a fine not exceeding £200 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both.".
