[1] The appellant was convicted, after trial, of a contravention of section 3 of the Sexual
Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
[2] The appellant was in employment. He had no previous convictions. The registration
requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 were drawn to the sheriff’s attention. The
sheriff was invited to obtain a Criminal Justice Social Work Report with a view to imposing
