Introduction
[1] This is an appeal by SY, the pursuer and appellant, against the decision of the sheriff
at Edinburgh to refuse his application for residence and contact in relation to the children of
his relationship with the respondent. At the time of this appeal only two of the parties’ four
children were under sixteen years of age. The sheriff heard a proof over five days before
issuing a judgment refusing the pursuer’s craves.
