Dear Stephen,
RE : Application for Change No. 1 to the Code Modification Rules for the NI
Network Gas Transmission Code
Thank you for your submission of the consultation report in respect of the above mentioned
Application for Change. The report was initially submitted on 12 December 2019, and
resubmitted with an update to the suggested implementation date on 20 December 2019.
The Application for Change is being made to accompany Code Modification Proposal No. 7
which seeks to add a new section 26 to the NI Network Gas Transmission Code. This
section 26 relates to the South Section of the NI Gas Transmission Network.
The purpose of the Application for Change No. 1 to the Code Modification Rules is to add a
new section of modification rules specifically in order to provide for the involvement of the
Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) in proposed changes to the new section 26 of
the Code.
Authority review and conclusions
The Utility Regulator has considered the information provided in the consultation report.
We note that no responses were received during the consultation period.
We are also conscious that the GMO NI has kept the CRU informed about the
Application for Change to the Code Modification Rules, about the fact that no third party
responses were received and that no changes have been made to the proposed text as
a result of the consultation.
