The Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 1992

Whereas a draft of this Order has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 1(2) of the Armed Forces Act 19911, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered as follows:—

S-1 The Army Act 1955 , the Air Force Act 1955 and the Naval...

1. The Army Act 19552, the Air Force Act 19553and the Naval Discipline Act 19574shall continue in force for a period of twelve months beyond 31st August 1992, that day being the day on which they would otherwise expire.

S-2 This Order may be cited as the Army, Air Force and Naval...

2. This Order may be cited as the Army, Air Force and Naval Discipline Acts (Continuation) Order 1992.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order enables the provisions of the Army Act 1955, the Air Force Act 1955 and the Naval Discipline Act 1957 to continue in force for a period of twelve months beyond 31st August 1992, which is the latest date provided for in section 1(1) of the Armed Forces Act 1991.
