Isn’t it wonderful when you pick up a textbook and it does exactly what it says on the
cover? Sage’s Little Quick Fix Series does exactly that. With 22 books in the series,
Little Quick Fix (LQF) books provide fast but authoritative answers to the problems
all evaluators face in the course of doing evaluation. The LQF series provides cheap
and practical guides, with some of the eBook versions being freely available online.
This review will focus on two books from the series, a collection of current Little
Quick Fix titles for gathering, managing and analysing research data. This set com-
prises two little quick fixes by Helen Kara on writing a questionnaire and conducting
an interview: Do Your Interviews (9781526467744) and Write a Questionnaire
(9781526467751). Dr Helen Kara is an independent researcher who writes and teaches
on research methods. She is the author of Research and Evaluation for Busy Students
and Practitioners: A Time-Saving Guide
, Creative Research Methods in the Social
Sciences: A Practical Guide
, and Research Ethics in the Real World: Euro-Western
and Indigenous Perspectives
. In 2015, Helen was the first fully independent researcher
