N., a servant girl, deposed that on some half dozen occasions, while her mistress was absent defendant had intercourse with her. As bread server it was his business to call at the house each day. Usually he remained not more than ten or fifteen minutes, but at the times sworn to it was said that he stayed for about an hour. Corroboration was given by her aunt, who lived almost opposite, that on several occasions at or about the period alleged she had noticed the defendant's cart standing for about an hour with the nosebag on the horse.
