Claim under Lord Campbell's Act - Amount of contributions by persons other than the deceased - Relevancy - Fatal Accidents Act, 1846 (9 10 Vict., c. 93) s. 4.

In an action for damages under the Fatal Accidents Acts the plaintiff in his particulars pursuant to statute alleged that the dependent (deceased's mother) was "mainly dependent on the deceased." The defendants asked for particulars of the amounts contributed to the house by all parties other than the deceased and for particulars of the relationship, age, employment and earnings of the plaintiff. The plaintiff replied that he was the father of the deceased but refused to give any of the other particulars sought.
