The Buying Agency Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 2000

Coming into force 1st April 2000

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 1(1) and 6(1) of the Government Trading Funds Act 19731and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, with the concurrence of the Treasury, hereby makes the following Order—

S-1 Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Buying Agency Trading Fund (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

S-2 Amendment

Amendment

2. In Article 4 of the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 19912for “the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster” substitute “the Treasury”.

This Order amends the Buying Agency Trading Fund Order 1991 by substituting in Article 4 a reference to the Treasury for the reference to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, thereby making the Treasury the authorised lender to the Fund. The Order is consequential upon the transfer of the Buying Agency from the Cabinet Office to the Office of Government Commerce in the Treasury.
