Special topic issue: Comparative procedural traditions
The International Journal of Evidence & Proof is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal which aspires to be a
truly international, interdisciplinary forum for reporting, evaluating and debating the latest develop-
ments in evidence law, proof and procedure broadly conceived.
The International Journal of Evidence & Proof announces a call for papers for an upcoming special
issue on the theme of comparative procedural traditions.
Submissions should engage with the key debates around comparative methods and/or harmonisation.
Of particular interest are:
1. papers which seek to map and explain changes that have taken place in the law of evidence and/or
criminal procedure across different procedural traditions;
2. papers which seek to analyse the benefits and dangers of harmonisation in the law of evidence
and/or criminal procedure;
3. papers which engage with normative debates on key concepts (such as procedural fairness,
adversarialism, managerialism, participation, truth-finding, etc.); and
4. papers which explore issues around legitimacy and public trust in relation to harmonisation and
law/policy transfer across national boundaries.
All articles will go through the journal’s normal blind peer review process.
