The Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) have formed a joint body for creating a statement of recommended practice (Sorp) for UK charities. They have also guaranteed to restructure the Sorp committee to deepen the sector's representation and pool the diversity of experience across the charity sector and accountancy profession. For the first time, vacancies on the committee will be advertised in the press, including Times Public Agenda and Charity Finance.
