Bankruptcy
On 8April, the Minister representing the Attorney-General stated,
in answer to aquestion upon notice, that following the appointment
of
acommittee to review the Bankruptcy Act and the committee's report
adraft bill had been circulated. Many comments had been received
and were being examined, and decisions would have to be made on
alterations to the draft bill which the Government had announced
it
would introduce. The bill would be acomprehensive enactment and no
interim amendments were proposed.

Censorship
On
17
September, the Minister representing the Minister for Customs
and Excise stated that there had been consultations with State ministers
and officials on the desired greater uniformity in literature censorship.

Citizenship
On
14
May, the Minister for External Affairs stated that Irish citizens
in Australia were given the same treatment as British citizens, which
he outlined. He added that this position was not necessarily affected
by the recent exchange
of

On 20 May, the Minister for Immigration, in answer to aquestion
upon notice, outlined the position regarding the status
of
British subjects

On 7April, the Minister for Civil Aviation made aMinisterial State-
ment concerning air service agreements with Malaysia and Italy.
