In an action in which the plaintiff claimed damages from the defendant for personal injuries sustained by the plaintiff, the defendant applied to the court before the trial for an order staying further proceedings in the action until the plaintiff made available to the defendant certain hospital records relating to the plaintiff's condition and treatment in the period immediately following the accident in which the plaintiff's injuries were sustained.
