The Control of Dogs on Roads Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1965

The Minister of Transport in exercise of his powers under sections 37 and 48 of the Road Traffic Act 1962(a) and of all other powers him enabling in that behalf, and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 260 of the Road Traffic Act 1960(b), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. The Control of Dogs on Roads Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1962(c) shall have effect as though in Regulation 2(1), in the definition of "local authority", for the words "metropolitan borough" there were substituted the words "London borough".

2. The Interpretation Act 1889(d) shall apply for the interpretation of these Regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st April 1965 and may be cited as "The Control of Dogs on Roads Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 1965".
