Jones B (2020) The challenges of ideal theory and appeal of secular apocalyptic
thought. European Journal of Political Theory 19(4): 465–488.
After the publication of the article, the author found in it an inadvertent mistake
that he had made. The article had mistakenly attributed a direct quote to a work
when summarizing an idea from it. On p. 480 of the article in the first full para-
graph, the following passage should contain within it no quotation marks and
instead should read:
“Estlund makes the case that, even when hopeless, ideal theory can force us to
think of how far the ideal is from reality, and what can be done to move us closer
to the ideal and those causal relations (Estlund, 2008: 269).”
