The County and Borough Election Forms Regulations, 195116thFebruary 1951

In pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by rules 4, 5 and 10 of the local elections rules in the Second Schedule to the Representation of the People Act, 1949(a), and by section sixty-one of the Local Government Act, 1933(b), I hereby make the following Regulations prescribing forms for use at elections of county councillors, councillors of a borough and elective auditors and the form of declaration of acceptance of office to be made by the chairman of a county council, a county alderman or a county councillor, or by the mayor, an alderman or a councillor of a borough, or by an elective auditor.
1. At an election of a county councillor the forms in the First Schedule hereto, or forms to the like effect, shall be used, with such modifications as circumstances require.
2. At an election of a councillor of a borough and at an election of elective auditors, the forms in the Second Schedule hereto, or forms to the like effect, shall be used, with such modifications as circumstances require.
3. The declaration of acceptance of office by the chairman of a county council, a county alderman or a county councillor or by the mayor, an alderman or a councillor of a borough or by an elective auditor shall be in the form in the Third Schedule hereto, or in a form to the like effect.
4. Any reference in these Regulations to a county shall not be taken as including a reference to the county of London.
Any reference in these Regulations to a borough shall not be taken as including a reference to a metropolitan borough.
5.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the County and Borough Election Forms Regulations, 1951.
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the first day of April, 1951.
(3) The County and Borough Election Forms Regulations, 1949(c), are hereby revoked.

NOTICE OF ELECTION
COUNTY OF
ELECTION OF A COUNTY COUNCILLOR for the Electoral Division
1. An election is to be held of a County Councillor for the said electoral division.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered at on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than noon on the day of .
3. Forms of nomination paper may be obtained at from the undersigned, who will, at the request of any elector for the said electoral division, prepare for signature a nomination paper.
4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on the day of .
