The Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (Appointed Day No. 7) Order 1997
Made 29th December 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Sections 1(5), 43(2) and 69(3) of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 19961, hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (Appointed Day No. 7) Order 1997.
(2) This Order extends to Northern Ireland only.
2. 1st January 1998 is hereby appointed for the purposes of—
(a) Part I of, and
(b) Sections 43 (application of Part IV of the Act) and 69 of,
