Debate and dialogue
Issue 9(1) included, for the first time, a section designed to include shorter
articles intended to provoke debate and dialogue on current issues of concern
in criminology. Our first publication in this series was an article by Laurence
Sherman outlining his views on the strengths of ‘experimental criminology’.
In this issue, we are pleased to be able to publish two responses to Sherman’s
article, by Tim Hope and Nick Tilley, respectively. We hope to continue
with this debate in future issues.
