Murder of a police constable - "In the execution of his duty"- Criminal Injuries (Ir.) Act, 1919 (9 Geo. 5, c. 14), s. 1, sub-s. 1 (a).

In a claim for compensation under the Criminal Injuries Acts and the Criminal Injuries (Ireland) Act, 1919, for the murder of a police constable in the execution of his duty, it is not necessary to prove that the murder was committed on account of his being, acting or having acted as a police constable.
