THE GLOBAL OVERVIEW
Many developing countries, and indeed a signi-
ficant number of developed countries, need a prac-
tical strategy to launch future education and
prevention programmes. This article offers con-
structive advice on how to educate the public and
gain support to combat the abuses of government
officials and private individuals. Corruption pre-
vention services involve the study of systems and
procedures to reduce opportunities to commit cor-
ruption and economic crime offences. A detailed
review of these services is not included in this
article but public education involves making these
services widely known throughout the public and
private sectors.
