The District Probate Registries Order 1964

Whereas a draft of the following Order was laid before Parliament and approved by resolution of each House of Parliament:

Now, therefore, I, the Right Honourable Sir Jocelyn Edward Salis Simon, President of the Probate Division, with the concurrence of the Lord Chancellor and the Treasury, and in exercise of the powers vested in me by section 108 of the Supreme Court of Judicature (Consolidation) Act 1925(a), do hereby make the following Order:

1. The Scheme for the Establishment of District Probate Registries comprised in Schedule 2 to the Supreme Court of Judicature (Consolidation) Act 1925, as modified by the District Probate Registries Order 1938(b) and the District Probate Registries Order 1951(c), shall be further modified as follows:—

Bodmin shall be placed in Group 13 and Group 14 shall accordingly be deleted.

2. This Order may be cited as the District Probate Registries Order 1964 and shall come into operation on the 30th day of July 1964.
