'WHEREAS Doubts have arisen as to the Interpretation of certain Provisions of the Ecclesiastical Leasing Act, 1858:' Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, as follows,viz .:

S-1 Certain Monies for Sales under said Act not subject to Sect. 2. of said Act.

1. The Monies which in respect of any Sale effected under the said Act shall become due and payable by way of perpetual annual Chief or other Rent or Rentcharge shall not be subject to the Provisions contained in the Second Section of the same Act, which require that all Monies which may become payable in respect of Sales under ‘the Ecclesiastical Leasing Acts’ shall be paid to the Ecclesiastical Commissioners forEngland , to be invested and dealt with as contemplated by the said Section.
