EDITORIAL
In this  rst issue of 2016, the Executive Board looks back at yet another productive
year of the Nethe rlands Quarterly of Human Rights. In 2015, we continued to publish
high quality contemporary and innovative articles on international human rights
issues. We received a lmost 150 manuscripts , of which we published 14 art icles in the
Quarterly’s four issues in 2015. As such, the Quarterly remains a highly competitive
journal with a publication rate of less than 10 per cent, which enables us to select
only the best ar ticles. We would like to extend our gratitude to the work of the wider
international Editoria l Board and other expert reviewers, who ta ke time and care to
critically a ssess manuscripts submitted. In add ition, we thank the Utrecht University
Library for the section in each issue detailing new publications on human rights
around the world. Without this assistance, the Quarterly would not stand where it
does today. Finally, but importantly, we would also li ke to thank our readers for their
continued support, and all of the authors who submit their work for consideration
by the Quarterly.  e Executive Boa rd extends its best wishes for the new year to all
of you.
