The appearance of this issue of POLITICS coincides with the commencement of the
British academic year and, hopefully, the articles included
will
reflect the varied
interests of the Political Science profession. However, the content of POLITICS is
strongly related to the type of article submitted, and those afficionados of
particular specialisms (such as West European and Communist Politics) who scan these
pages in vain should not infer sinister conspiracies
on
the part of the Editors.
Indeed, their first resort should be to commit pen to paper and submit work to the
Editors where
it
will
be gratefully received. POLtTICS would also like to encourage
contributions in the
form
of review articles, particularly of books that are important
in the teaching of Political Science.
