EXCHANGE CONTROL

The Exchange Control (Reserve Bank of Rhodesia) (Residence) Directions 1966

The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 41(2) of the Exchange Control Act 1947(a), hereby give the following directions:—

1. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Exchange Control (Branches and Residence) Directions 1951(b), the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia shall be treated for all the purposes of the Exchange Control Act 1947 as resident in Southern Rhodesia.

2. These directions shall extend to the Channel Islands, and any references in these directions to the Exchange Control Act 1947 include a reference to that Act as extended by the Exchange Control (Channel Islands) Order 1947(c).

3. The Interpretation Act 1889(d) shall apply for the interpretation of these directions as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

4. These directions may be cited as the Exchange Control (Reserve Bank of Rhodesia) (Residence) Directions 1966, and shall come into operation on the 8th February 1966.
