Export Guarantees Act, 1952

(15 & 16 Geo. 6 & 1 Eliz. 2) CHAPTER 21

An Act to increase the amount of the liabilities which may be undertaken by the Board of Trade in respect of guarantees under sections one and two of the Export Guarantees Act, 1949.

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1 Raising of limits on guarantees under Export Guarantees Act, 1949.

(1) In subsection (4) of section one of the Export Guarantees Act, 1949 (which imposes a limit of five hundred million pounds in respect of guarantees given by the Board of Trade under that section) for the words ‘five hundred million pounds’ there shall be substituted the words ‘seven hundred and fifty million pounds’.

(2) In subsection (2) of section two of the said Act (which imposes a limit of one hundred million pounds in respect of guarantees given by the Board of Trade under that section) for the words ‘one hundred million pounds’ there shall be substituted the words ‘one hundred and fifty million pounds’.

2. This Act may be cited as theExport Guarantees Act, 1952and the Export Guarantees Acts, 1949 and 1951 and this Act may be cited together as the Export Guarantees Acts, 1949 to 1952.
