The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2001
Made 18th September 2001
Coming into force 19th September 2001
The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 19391and now vested in him2, hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 19th September 2001.
(2) In this Order “the principal Order” means the Export of Goods (Control Order) 19943.
2. The following text is substituted for Article 2(1) of the principal Order.
“1 Subject to the provisions of this Order, all goods of a description specified in Schedule 1 hereto are prohibited to be exported to any destination.”.
3.—(1) The following text is substituted for Article 2(2) of the principal Order.
“Subject to the provisions of this Order goods shall be prohibited to be exported to any destination where:”.
(2) In Article 2(2)(a)(b)(c) delete all references to “that person” and replace with “the exporter”.

This Order makes changes to the formulation used to express export prohibitions in Article 2 of the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1994. This Order substitutes provisions made in Article 2(2) of The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 6) Order 2000 (S.I. 2000/2618).
