The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 2, 17 and 21 of the Extradition Act 18701and sections 9(2) and 39(1) of the Aviation Security Act 19822, or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Hijacking) (Amendment) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 1st January 1988.
2. The Extradition (Hijacking) Order 19713shall be amended by adding to Part I of Schedule 3 (which names the foreign States with which the United Kingdom has no extradition treaties in force and which are parties to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft signed at The Hague on 16th December 19704) the following entry —

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Extradition (Hijacking) Order 1971 (which among its provisions names States party to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft signed at The Hague on 16th December 1970) by adding an entry for the Yemen Arab Republic.
