The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by sections 2, 17 and 21 of the Extradition Act 18701and sections 3(3) and 5(1) of the Taking of Hostages Act 19822, or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

S-1 This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Taking of Hostages)...

1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition (Taking of Hostages) (Amendment) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 1st February 1989.

S-2 The Extradition (Taking of Hostages) Order 1985 shall be...

The Extradition (Taking of Hostages) Order 19853shall be amended by adding to Schedule 2 (which names the foreign States with which the United Kingdom has extradition treaties in force and which are parties to the International Convention against the Taking of Hostages opened for signature at New York on 18th December 19794) the following entries—
