NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 14(8) OF THE GAS (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 1996
MODIFICATIONS TO THE GAS CONVEYANCE LICENCE HELD BY FIRMUS ENERGY
(DISTRIBUTION) LIMITED
In accordance with Article 14(2) of the Gas (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 (as amended) (the
“Gas Order”) the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation (the “Authority”) published
notice of its intention to modify the conditions of the gas conveyance licence (“the Licence”) held
by firmus energy (Distribution) Limited (“the Licensee”).
In accordance with Article 14(5) of the Gas Order the Authority has considered representations
duly made to it. The Authority has decided to proceed with the making of modifications of the
conditions of the Licence in exercise of its powers under Article 14(1) of the Gas Order.
In accordance with Article 14(8) of the Order the Authority gives notice as follows: -
1. The modifications to the conditions of the Licence as set out in Annex 6 to the Licence
Modification Decision on Firmus Energy GD17 Remedies ("the Decision Paper"). These
are unchanged from those published for consultation on 19 December 2017 pursuant to
Article 14(2) of the Gas Order.
2. Further details of the modifications are set out in chapters 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the attached
Decision Paper.
3. In chapters 4, 5, 6, 7 and annex 10 of the Decision Paper we explain how the Authority
has taken account of the representations made to it in relation to the notice published by
it pursuant to Article 14(2) of the Gas Order.
4. The reasons for the licence modifications and the effects of the licence modifications are
set out in chapter 7 of the Decision Paper.
5. The Authority has, pursuant to Article 14(8)(a) of the Gas Order, published this notice
on its website. In addition the Authority has sent a copy of this notice to the Licensee
