The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales (being the Secretaries of State concerned with the sea fishing industry in Scotland and Wales respectively) in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 44, 45 and 57 of the Sea Fish Industry Act 1970(a) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, with the approval of the Treasury and after consultation with the White Fish Authority and the Herring Industry Board, hereby make the following scheme: —

Citation, Extent and Commencement

1. This scheme, which may be cited as the Fishing Vessels (Acquisition and Improvement) (Grants) (Amendment) Scheme 1972 shall apply to Great Britain and shall come into operation on the day after it has been approved by both Houses of Parliament.

Variation of Previous Scheme

2. The Fishing Vessels (Acquisition and Improvement) (Grants) Scheme 1967(b) as amended(c) shall be further amended as follows:

in Paragraph 9 for the reference to 1st January 1973 there shall be substituted a reference to 1st January 1974.
