FOREIGN COMPENSATION

The Foreign Compensation (Financial Provisions) Order 1978

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in that behalf by section 7(2) of the Foreign Compensation Act 1950(a) and section 3(3) of the Foreign Compensation Act 1962(b) or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Foreign Compensation (Financial Provisions) Order 1978 and shall come into operation on 20th March 1978.

2. The Foreign Compensation Commission shall pay into the Exchequer not later than 31st March 1978 out of each of the Funds named in Column 1 of the Schedule to this Order the amount specified in respect of that Fund in Column 2 of the Schedule which is hereby determined to be the amount of the expenses of the Commission during the period 1st October 1975 to 30th September 1977 in respect of the Romanian Compensation Fund, and during the period 1st October 1976 to 30th September 1977 in respect of the other Funds, attributable to the discharge by the Commission of their functions in relation to the distribution of sums from that Fund.
