The Furniture Industry Development Council (Amendment) Order, 1958

The Board of Trade in pursuance of the powers conferred upon them by section 8 of the Industrial Organisation and Development Act, 1947(a), hereby order as follows:—

1. The Furniture Industry Development Council Order, 1948(b), shall have effect subject to the amendment that for paragraph (3) of Article 6 there shall be substituted the following paragraph:—

"(3) Charges imposed by the Council under paragraph (1) hereof shall be computed so as to yield not more than £30,000 in each year beginning with the year 1958.".

2. The Interpretation Act, 1889(c), shall apply to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

3. This Order may be cited as the Furniture Industry Development Council (Amendment) Order, 1958, and shall come into operation on the 15th day of July, 1958.
