The Greater London Council Election (Amendment) Rules 1971

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by paragraph 14 of Schedule 3 to the London Government Act 1963(a), I hereby make the following Rules for the conduct of an election of councillors of the Greater London Council :—

1. These Rules may be cited as the Greater London Council Election (Amendment) Rules 1971 and shall come into operation on 1st November 1971.

2. After Rule 10 in Schedule 1 to the Greater London Council Election Rules 1970(b) there shall be inserted the following Rule :—

"Inspection of nominations and consents to nomination

10A. Any person may, at all reasonable times after the latest time for the delivery of nomination papers and before the day of election, inspect and take copies of and extracts from nomination papers and consents to nomination.".
