The Hallmarking (International Convention) (Amendment) Order 1983

The Secretary of State, in exercise of his powers under sections 2(1)(c) and (3), 21(3) and 22(1) of the Hallmarking Act 1973(a) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Hallmarking (International Convention) (Amendment) Order 1983 and shall come into operation on 15th September 1983.

2. Schedule 2 to the Hallmarking (International Convention) Order 1976(b) is hereby amended by inserting, after the entry for Finland, the following entry:—

Alexander Fletcher, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department of Trade and Industry.

13th September 1983.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Order.)

This Order, which is made under the Hallmarking Act 1973, amends Schedule 2 to the Hallmarking (International Convention) Order 1976 consequent upon the ratification by Portugal of the Convention on the Control and Marking of Articles of Precious Metals done...
