Workman injured while proceeding along road after having turned or "kopped" cattle and at moment of accident turned in direction of footpath - Workmen's Compensation Act (Northern Ireland), 1927, 17 18 Geo. 5, c. 16, s. 1.

A workman's duties included the carrying of milk to his employer's customers. On 19th November, 1932, he left the hotel with a can of milk to be delivered to one of the customers. On his way he had to cross the road, and when he was in the "middle"or "centre" of the road, he helped a woman to turn or "kop" some straying cattle, and after having done so, and as he was turning towards the footpath, he was struck by a cyclist and died as the result of his injuries.
