The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Whereas section 5 of the House of Commons Disqualification Act 19751enables Her Majesty by Order in Council to amend Schedule 1 to that Act in accordance with a resolution of the House of Commons:

And whereas on 11th December 1990 it was resolved by the House of Commons that Schedule 1 to the Act of 1975 be amended:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, in pursuance of the said section 5 and in accordance with the said resolution, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:—

S-1 This Order may be cited as the House of Commons...

1. This Order may be cited as the House of Commons Disqualification Order 1990.

S-2 Schedule 1 to the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975...

2. Schedule 1 to the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1975 (which specifies offices the holders of which are disqualified for membership of the House of Commons) shall have effect subject to the amendments specified in the Schedule to this Order.
