The Secretary of State for Social Services, with the consent of the Treasury (a), in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 28(1) of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982(b) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:—
Citation and commencement
1. These regulations, which may be cited as the Housing Benefits (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1985, shall come into operation as follows:—
(a) regulations 1 and 2 so far as the Schedule amends regulation 18(2)(e) of the Housing Benefits Regulations 1985(c) on 1st September 1985;
(b) for all other purposes, on 25th November 1985.
Amendment of the Housing Benefits Regulations 1985
2. In each provision of the Housing Benefits Regulations 1985 specified in column 1 of the Schedule to these regulations, for the amount specified in relation to it in column 2 of that Schedule there shall be substituted the amount specified in relation to it in column 3 of that Schedule.
