The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, by virtue of the powers conferred on them by sections one, two and thirteen of the Import Duties Act, 1958(a), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, on the recommendation of the Board of Trade hereby make the following Order:—
1. The Schedule to the Import Duties (General) Order, 1958(b) (which sets out the Customs Tariff, 1959, and, by reference to it, the import duties chargeable under the Import Duties Act, 1958), shall be amended in accordance with the Schedule to this Order; and there shall also be made in any heading so amended all such alterations in the numbering of the sub-headings as will allow for any increase in their number under this Order.
2.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Import Duties (General) (No. 9) Order, 1959.
(2) The Interpretation Act, 1889(c), shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
(3) This Order shall come into operation on the eighteenth day of September, nineteen hundred and fifty-nine.

AMENDMENTS OF IMPORT DUTIES (GENERAL) ORDER, 1958
Reduction or removal of existing duty (20%) on certain bird skins
1. In heading No. 05.07 and in heading No. 67.01, before the existing sub-heading (A), there shall be inserted, in the first column, a new sub-heading—
"(A) Skins and pieces thereof, with their down"
and in the new sub-heading 67.01 (A) (which will relate to certain worked bird skins) there shall be inserted in the second column a rate of duty of 15%.

Removal of existing duty (12½% or 15%) on certain pulp or juice of tangerines, etc.
2.—(1) In heading No. 08.10, in heading No. 08.11 (as amended by the Import Duties (General) (No. 2) Order, 1958(a)), and in heading No. 20.06 (as so amended), for the words "orange pulp", wherever occurring, there shall be substituted the words "orange, clementine, mandarin or tangerine pulp".
(2) In heading No. 20.07, in sub-heading (A)(1), for the words "orange juice" there shall be substituted the words "orange, clementine, mandarin or tangerine juice".
