INJURIES IN WAR COMPENSATION

The Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation (Second Amendment) Scheme 1969

The Defence Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Injuries in War Compensation Act, 1914 (Session 2)(a) (as amended by the Defence (Transfer of Functions) (No. 1) Order 1964(b)) and section 1(1) and (3) of the Defence (Transfer of Functions) Act 1964(c) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Scheme: —

1. The Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Scheme 1914 as amended(d) shall be further amended as follows: —

In paragraph (3) thereof for the figures "152s. Od.", wherever they occur, there shall be substituted the figures "168s. Od.".

2. This Scheme shall have effect as from 5th November 1969 so, however, that no payment shall be made thereunder in respect of any period before that date.

3. This Scheme may be cited as the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation (Second Amendment) Scheme 1969 and the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Schemes 1914 to 1969 and this Scheme may be cited together as the Injuries in War (Shore Employments) Compensation Schemes 1914 to 1969.
