Isle of Man (War Legislation) Act, 1914

(4 & 5 Geo. 5.) CHAPTER 62.

An Act to enable His Majesty, by Order in Council, to extend to the Isle of Man Acts passed in connection with the present War.

[28th August 1914]

Be it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

S-1 Power to extend certain Acts to the Isle of Man.

1 Power to extend certain Acts to the Isle of Man.

(1) his Majesty may, by Order in Council, extend to the Isle of Man any Act which, in the opinion of His Majesty, was passed for the purpose of meeting any emergency created by the present war, and does not extend to the Isle of Man; and any Act so extended shall have effect accordingly, subject to such adaptations as may be made by the order for the purpose of making the Act applicable to the Isle of Man.

(2) Any Act so extended by Order in Council shall, if the order so provides, be deemed to have taken effect in the Isle of Man at the same time as it took effect in the United Kingdom.
