Money have been borrowed
under the Provisions
of
the said recited Acts, and are chargeable
on
the Rates authorized to be made
on
the rcspcctive Districts created
by
such Acts
:
And whereas the Districts conipriscd within the Limits
of
the said recited Acts are, with the Exception of
a
Portion
of
the
High Street
of
the Town of
Kensington,
situate within the said
Parish of
Sad
Mary
Abbotts,
Kensington
:
And whereas it would
be attended with local and public Advantages if the Powers of the
said recited Acts,
or
some
of
them, were repealed or altered and
amended, and consolidated in One 14ct, and confided
to
One Body
of
Gommissioners to be appointed for the whole
of
the said Parish, and
if
further Powers werc granted to such Conimissioiicrs for the better
paving, lighting, cleansing, regulating,
and
improving thc sanic
:
And
xhereas, in pursuance of thc Po\-vcrs
of
an
Act passed in the Third
(Pub*)
and Fourth Years of thc Reign
of
King
WilZiio~,
thc Fourtli, Chapter
Ninety, numerous and separate Districts for lighting
have
been
formed within the said Parish of
St.
JIiiy
Abbotts,
Kensington,
and
separate Bodics
of
Inspectors have been appointed for superintending
the lighting
of
the said Districts, and it is expedient that the Powers
of
the said Inspectors should be transferred to and confided to the
said
Commissioners
:
And whereas there are several Streets, Roads,
Ways,
Passages, and Places,
and
othcr
populous
Parts
of
the said
Parish
of
St.
Mary
Abbotts,
Kensingfon,
for the paving, lighting,
cleansing, regulating, and improving whercof no Provision has hereto-
fore been made, and
it
would be
of
like Advantage
if
thc sanie were
also
placed under the Care, Management, and Control
of
the said
Commissioners
:
And whereas the Purposes aforesaid cannot be
effected without the Authority
of
Parliament
:
May
it therefore
please Your Majesty that it

be enacted

the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and
with
the Advice and
Consent of the Lords Spiritual and 'Temporal, arid
Commons,
