CHAPTER lix.
An Act to confirm certain Provisional Orders of the Local
A.D.
1880.
Government Board relating to the Rural Sanitary Districts
of the Amersham, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and Basford Unions,
the Borough of Chard, the Local Government District of
Croydon, the Borough of Cheltenham, the Eural Sanitary
District of the Hendon Union, the Local Government
Districts of Hornsey and Leyton, the City of Lincoln, the
Borough of Plymouth, the Local Government District of
Redditch, the Rural Sanitary District of the Shardlow
Union, and the Local Board of Health District of
Woolwich. [19th July 1880.]

HEREAS the Local Government Board have, as regards the
districts, boroughs, and city herein mentioned, made the
Provisional Orders set forth in the schedule hereto, under the
provisions of the Public Health Act, 1875:

And whereas it is requisite that the said Orders should be
confirmed by Parliament, and that the provision herein contained
should be enacted as regards one of such districts:
Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty,
by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and
Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and
by the authority of the same, as follows :

The Orders set out in the schedule hereto shall be and the

And whereas the Supplemental Act is still in force in the said
parish of Woolwich:
And whereas by section three hundred and forty-three of the

Siavfeh&is: Government Act, 1858, the Sewage Utilization Act, 1867, and
certain Acts amending the same, were wholly repealed, and in
consequence of such repeal doubts have arisen whether those Acts
are still in force in the said parish of Woolwich:

It is hereby declared that the Public Health Act, 1848, the

Local Government Act, 3858, the Sewage Utilization Act, 1867,

and the several Acts amending the same, so far as those Acts were
in force in the parish of Woolwich immediately prior to the passing

and to continue in force in that parish, anything in the Public
s8439Vict.c.65. Health Act, 1875, to the contrary notwithstanding.
Short
title.
3. This Act may be cited as the Local Government Board's
Provisional Orders Confirmation (Amersham Union, &c.) Act, 1880.
