Lunacy Board (Scotland) Salaries and Clerks Act, 1900

(63 & 64 Vict.) CHAPTER 54.

An Act to amend the Law relating to the number and salaries of the Staff of the General Board of Commissioners in Lunacy for Scotland, and to provide for the remuneration of certain of the Commissioners.

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. From and after the passing of this Act the General Board of Commissioners in Lunacy for Scotland may appoint, with the approval of the Secretary for Scotland, such number of clerks as the Treasury may sanction, and the secretary and clerks of the said Board shall receive such salaries as the Treasury may assign; and such salaries, together with the expenses of the Board, to the amount sanctioned by the Treasury, shall be paid out of moneys provided by Parliament.

2. So much of the Lunacy Board (Scotland) Act, 1864, as relates to the salaries of the secretary and clerk of the said Board is hereby repealed.

3. This Act shall be read along with the Lunacy (Scotland) Acts, 1857 to 1887, and may be cited separately as theLunacy Board (Scotland) Salaries and Clerks Act, 1900.
