Trees cultivated for the purpose of producing timber -Whether trees a "growing crop" - Criminal Injuries Act (Northern Ireland), 1956 (5 Eliz. 2, c. 19), s. 2.

Section 2 of the Criminal Injuries Act (Northern Ireland), 1956, provides that compensation may be obtained under that Act where damage has been maliciously or wantonly caused to "any fruit trees or growing crops."Held, that larch trees being grown systematically for the purpose of producing timber constituted a "growing crop" for the purpose of this provision.
