The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State concerned with agriculture in Scotland and the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland, acting jointly, in exercise of powers conferred by sections 117(1), (2) and (3) of the Medicines Act 1968(a) and now vested in them(b) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consulting such organisations as appear to them to be representative of interests likely to be substantially affected, hereby make the following regulations:—
Citation, commencement and interpretation
1.—(1) These regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Animal Feeding Stuffs) (Enforcement) (Amendment) Regulations 1977, shall come into operation on 26th October 1977, and shall extend to the United Kingdom.
(2) In these regulations "the principal regulations" means the Medicines (Animal Feeding Stuffs) (Enforcement) Regulations 1976(c).
(3) The Interpretation Act 1889(d) shall apply for the interpretation of these regulations as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
Amendment of Schedule 3 to the principal regulations
2. Schedule 3 to the principal regulations shall be amended as follows—
(a) In paragraph 6 of division 9, for the reference to "mg per ml," in the sixth line there shall be substituted a reference to "μg per ml,";
(b) In paragraph 7 of division 11, for the reference to "para 6.3.2(ml);" in the penultimate line there shall be substituted a reference to "para 6.3.1(ml);";

(b) In the case of the Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland by virtue of section 40 of, and Schedule 5 to, the Northern Ireland Constitution Act 1973 (c. 36) and section 1(3) of, and paragraph 2(1)(b) of Schedule 1 to, the Northern Ireland Act 1974 (c. 28).

(c) In division 16, for the systemic name "[3,5-dinitro-2′-(nitrofur-furylidene)salicylohydrazide]" immediately underneath the heading "DETERMINATION OF NIFURSOL" there shall be substituted the name "[3,5-dinitro-2′-(5-nitrofurfurylidene)salicylohydrazide]";
(d) In sub-paragraph 4.3 of division 18, for the reference to "10mm" there shall be substituted a reference to "40mm";
(e) In sub-paragraph 5.5 of division 18, for the fifth sentence there shall be substituted the following sentence—
